Privacy Policy
We take privacy very seriously and will never share your details without your expressed permission.
Please read through our Mad for Hair privacy policy carefully as it describes our collection and use of data on this website. If you have any questions or concerns regarding privacy then please feel free to contact us, we would love to help and provide any information about your own private details.
Who we are
Mad for Hair is a trading name of Madeline Woodham based at the salon address of 4 Mount Parade, Mount Pleasant EN4 9DD London, United Kingdom.
We work as a company and provide Hairdressing, beauty and training consultancy services.
Collecting Information
As a customer of Mad for Hair, we may collect information to provide services, email marketing, charging fees and project management.
To provide our services to you we may receive a phone call, fax, an email, a personal visit or you may fill in a contact form on our website.
This will be the initial point of information collection from yourself and all information is kept within our customer database. In some instances, we may hold your information within an email marketing tool to enable us to provide you with relevant content relating to the services that Mad for Hair offers.
This will require you as a client to confirm a double via opt-in and the right to unsubscribe is always clearly marked. If unsubscribe is not present within normal emails please advise us by email that you would like to be removed and we shall do so.
Cookies
For almost any modern website to work properly, it needs to collect certain basic information on its users. To do this, a site will create files known as cookies – which are small text files – on its users’ computers.
These cookies are designed to allow the website to recognise its users on subsequent visits, or to authorise other designated websites to recognise these users for a particular purpose.
Cookies do a lot of different jobs which make your experience of the Internet much smoother and more interactive. For instance, they are used to remember your preferences on sites you visit often, to remember your user ID and the contents of your shopping baskets, and to help you navigate between pages more efficiently.
They also help ensure that the advertisements that you see online are more relevant to you and your interests. Much, though not all, of the data that they collect, is anonymous, though some of it is designed to detect browsing patterns and approximate geographical location to improve the user experience.
Some websites may also contain images called ‘web beacons’ (also known as ‘clear gifs’). Web beacons only collect limited information, including a cookie number, a timestamp, and a record of the page on which they are placed. Websites may also carry web beacons placed by third-party advertisers.
These beacons do not carry any personally identifiable information and are only used to track the effectiveness of a particular campaign (for example by counting the number of visitors). Information collected by cookies and web beacons is not personally identifiable.
How we use your information
Mad for Hair will only use your information for the provision of services to you as requested or quoted and for further contact to advise you of relevant content, update and information.
Your information is kept secure at all times and you are welcome to contact us to request the information that we store. All services we offer will be charged via invoice which will require your data to be stored in our accounting software.
Email Marketing
Email marketing is a very powerful tool and for this type of data collection, we would use a subscribe area on our website and this would subscribe you to a distribution list. Not only do you have the right to unsubscribe from this but you have the right to be forgotten if our email marketing content is no longer relevant to the services which you signed up for or you do not show any activity for 2 years.
Sharing your information
We never share your data with other companies and your data is held on robust, highly secure encrypted services and devices.
The only person we will share information with will be you the client if you request the details we hold. You are within your rights to contact us at any time to ask what information we have and how it is used.
Security of your information
We make it our priority to choose partnering applications and software that use extremely high security and encryption to ensure the risk of a breach is kept to a minimum.
All applications we use are fully licensed, all devices we use are kept up to date and antivirus software where required is current with up-to-date virus databases. In the event of a breach, all clients will be contacted within 24hrs to explain the nature of the breach and its severity.
Privacy Policy Changes
The Mad for Hair privacy policy will be reviewed regularly and changes will not reduce your rights as a client. As new GDPR regulations take effect we may need to make small tweaks and changes to ensure we are fully compliant.
